Our Policies

Quality policy

Our comprehensive integrated management system is based on ISO 9001. Our economic goal is long-term, results-orientated growth to secure jobs in the future.

Customer orientation
We strive for a long-term customer relationship that is characterised by integrity and grows with the challenges. Satisfied customers are the measure of our success. This is achieved by setting and pursuing goals, fulfilling the relevant requirements and honouring our highest commandments:
- Product quality,
- product safety,
- adherence to deadlines and
- optimal service for every order.

Zero-defect philosophy
Our aim is to consistently implement the zero-defect philosophy. It is the prerequisite for safeguarding the future of all products and processes. It is not achieved by testing, but by avoiding errors and must be integrated into the system and processes. We ensure this through our tried and tested, sophisticated processes, which is why we attach particular importance to comprehensive planning of all processes, especially production processes.

Employees
Every employee is an important part of our company. Honest interaction with one another is a matter of course for us and leads to trusting and constructive cooperation. Managers are responsible for ensuring an appropriate working environment. This includes: intensive education and training as well as comprehensive information according to the requirements of the respective workplace.

Continuous improvement
We work to continuously improve product and process quality, and this applies not only to products and services, but also to all business processes. We act at all levels to produce quality in an environmentally friendly manner in a safety-compliant environment.

Environmental policy

Our environmental management system is based on ISO 14001 and aims to promote sustainable behaviour for a future worth living.
Recognising its ethical responsibility for the environment and for future generations, the management declares the increased and systematic protection of the environment to be an independent corporate objective. These environmental policy guidelines serve as the basis for this:

Responsibility
We are committed to assuming our responsibility for the protection of the environment and the reduction of environmental pollution in all our decisions, even beyond legal requirements. In addition, we are constantly implementing measures to improve environmental protection.

Employee commitment
We motivate all employees to act in an environmentally conscious manner both within and outside the company.

Communication
We are open to communication with our business partners and employees on all issues relating to environmental protection.    Minimising environmental impact
We handle material and energy resources responsibly and use the latest manufacturing technologies to ensure that production is as resource-efficient as possible. This also applies to the packaging of supplied parts and goods for sale. We want to minimise air and water pollution as well as the emission of greenhouse gases (GHG), noise and residual materials in our production processes.

The environmental programme and the environmental targets contain the guidelines for the continuous development of operational environmental protection at our sites.

Energy policy

We use energy rationally and provide the necessary information and resources to monitor energy utilisation and target achievement. We are committed to continuously improving our energy-related performance.

We motivate all employees to act in an energy-conscious manner both inside and outside the company.

By reducing energy consumption, we also reduce CO2 emissions and thus want to make an active contribution to climate protection. We optimise energy efficiency as part of our continuous improvement processes, thereby ensuring the competitiveness of our site. We are committed to complying with all legal requirements.

We also want to use our energy efficiency activities as an element of marketing and to realise potential for cost reduction. When procuring production equipment, we take energy efficiency into account and use state-of-the-art production technologies to ensure that production is as energy-efficient as possible.

We want to make our contribution to the efficient use of energy in the long term and support policy in the context of a reliable energy supply. Strategic and operational energy targets form the framework for the individual measures to improve energy efficiency.

Occupational health and safety policy

Safety, health and motivation - the basis of our company's success

At Kontron Solar, occupational health and safety is just as important as economic efficiency, quality, environmental and energy management. The success of our company depends on our employees. Their safety, health and motivation are highly valued within the company. Management and supervisors orientate their actions accordingly.

We give our occupational health and safety policy a face with four concise guiding principles. The company management and all line managers are required to prioritise occupational health and safety:

Responsibility
In all our decisions, we recognise our responsibility for our own health and the health of others, even beyond legal requirements, and constantly pursue measures to improve occupational health and safety.

Employee commitment
We motivate all employees to act in a safety-conscious manner both inside and outside the company and involve employees in occupational health and safety issues.

Communication
We are open to communication with our business partners, employees and decision-makers on all health and safety issues.

Efficiency
We want to use our activities in occupational health and safety as an element of personnel marketing and to realise potential for cost reduction.

Compliant with the law and regulations
Kontron Solar's occupational health and safety policy is based on the Occupational Health and Safety Act, the relevant occupational health and safety regulations and the continuous improvement of employee health and safety. All supervisors, but also every employee, are responsible for occupational health and safety.
For the well-being of each individual, to avoid mutual endangerment and for reasons of operational safety, all employees and all other persons on the company premises are obliged to comply with the relevant government and trade association regulations, internal regulations, guidelines and instructions.

Specific objectives are derived from the occupational health and safety policy and measures are defined to achieve these objectives. These measures apply in accordance with the obligation of §3 ArbSchG for the company management to endeavour to ‘improve the safety and health protection of employees’. The management provides the necessary resources for this.

More safety through protective equipment, cleanliness and tidiness
High-quality personal protective equipment, professional equipment in good condition as well as tidiness and cleanliness enable us to ensure safety in the workplace. To maintain the health of our employees in the long term, we avoid hazards, prevent accidents and ensure a health-promoting and ergonomic way of working. Kontron Solar is committed to providing its employees with appropriate protective equipment.
